COUNTY: How do you define wellness personally for yourself? 

 

Dr. Smith:  Wellness is not perfection.  Wellness is finding the balance in life that allows me to contribute in a positive way.  Life and circumstances are always changing, so to be well I must be healthy enough physically, emotionally and intellectually to continue adapting to these changes. Totally Nancy Quilts

 

Although she does not sell her quilts, Nancy is actively involved in the professional world of quilting.  A founding member of the Konza Prairie Quilt Guild in Manhattan, Kansas, (1978) Nancy has taught quilting and worked in a quilt shop in Fairfax, Virginia, beginning in 1993. Her favorite quilt with pillow ticking background called Libertyville was reproduced in Samples from the Past by Alma Allen and Cherie Ralston (2000). Read the article

Mrs Missouri 2008.

Local woman to compete for Mrs. Missouri title.  Sharon Milligan will be competing in the 32nd annual Mrs. Missouri Pageant, which is the official state preliminary for the nationally televised Mrs. America Pageant.  She will represent the area as Mrs. Platte County.  She has chosen March of Dimes as her platform and has received their full endorsement.
