Nancy Wakefield's Quilt Bibliography

 

Although she does not sell her quilts, Nancy is actively involved in the professional world of quilting.  A founding member of the Konza Prairie Quilt Guild in Manhattan, Kansas, (1978) Nancy has taught quilting and worked in a quilt shop in Fairfax, Virginia, beginning in 1993.

 

Her favorite quilt with pillow ticking background called Libertyville was reproduced in Samples from the Past by Alma Allen and Cherie Ralston (2000).

Collecting History in the Heart of America by Deb Rowden, 2005.

 

Democrat Rose was published in Civil War Women by Barbara Brackman (2000). 

 

Christmas Baskets appearedin Women of Design by Barbara Brackman (2004).

 

 Libertyville was also shownin Libertyville by Terry Thompson (2005).

United We Stand was featured in Baltimore Elegance by Elly Sienkiewicz (2006).

 

Some of her family’s antique quilts from Wakefield’s collection were published in two Kansas City Star quilt books, Star Quilts (1999) and Star Quilts II (2000).
